…….MY REVIEW…….

Naomi fled, full of shame, pain and deeply confused.  She huddled underneath the blankets in the backseat of her friend Alex’s car not wanting to be detected by those she felt shunned her just hours before at what should have been a surprise celebration blessing her by new husband Chaz and their friends.  Her lifelong secret revealed by a vindictive girl seeking revenge for no reason but to steal the love of Naomi’s life.  Naomi intended to tell Chaz herself that night,, but forced to admit her secret in front of Chaz and her friends – Chaz hollered at her “Why did you deceive me?” and walked away.

As Alex sped her away from the Barrio, she showed no curiosity of where he was taking her. He explained he was taking her to a safe place at Wawayanda State Park in New Jersey, part of the Appalachian Trail.  From here on Naomi was in strange territory with people like none she had never known.  Her closest friend was Ruth – can it be God’s own humor that He would put anotherRuth and Naomi together?  Will you see the parallels in their lives?  Will Naomi believe the truth that Ruth and even Marvin; a little child will tell her when she meets him on the Blessings Rock?

Again, as I recommended in my review of Book One – please be sure and read the historical notes in the front of Book Two, as fascinating details about the Queen of Spain and unknown interesting facts about Christopher Columbus will reveal much more about the Spanish Jews and their plight.

Wealthy Chaz fled from New York in his private jet to Texas where he spent some time with his parents only to be told some bitter secrets of truth about his own heritage which agonizes him further about Naomi’s betrayal and adds deeper confusion to Chaz’s self-image.  His loving parents send him to Mexico to visit with his Uncle Hilario for further counsel on his new findings. Soon, I understood why this old scholar was loved and respected so greatly by Chaz – I soon loved this wise man as my favorite character in this story.  This gentle man that could hold a dove in his hand and stroke her underbelly so she would coo at him; and feed a morsel to a rabbit at the same time in his garden.  Uncle Hilario taught Chaz many truths and surprised him with history to be held in reverence.  Chaz has much to think about, so he decides to take a hike in the desert.  The dove tamed by Uncle Hilario will have an endearing significance in Chaz’s metamorphosis, a fabulous thought of brilliance on our author’s part.  What an imagination God has given Paula Rose Michelson, not mentioning her own experience that gives her story the strength to carry such burdens into joy in the Lord.

What will happen to Chaz during his desert experience?  What will happen to Naomi in her mountain top experience?  Will their paths cross again during their journey’s to truth.  They both seek love, not realizing they are searching for more than one love.  Are they both headed for redemption and salvation in the one true redeemer?  Did Paula Rose Michelson have a purpose for writing these two incredible stories about Naomi and Chaz?  My answer is definitely yes.

What will your answer be?

Together we Can Fulfill Messiah Yeshua’s Great Commission through Literature!
As the author of the Casa de Naomi: House of Blessing six book saga, and the wife of Messianic missionary, pastor, preacher, teacher, Ron Michelson, my faith journey-like-his has been amazing! At the age of forty, while interning in a dually diagnosed psychiatric unit at Woodview-Calabasas Hospital, I became a believer in Messiah Yeshua (Jesus Christ). Shortly afterward the skills I developed to work with addicts and those exhibiting abhorrent behavior lead me to offer to help some at my church. The news spread and within days women were calling for help. A meeting with Pastor Hurt led him to pronounce me The Women’s Lay Councilor for Freemont Community Church, in Freemont, CA and place me under his authority. That was the beginning of LAMB (Life Affirming Messages from the Bible) Ministries which helps women recover from trauma and abuse through the effective use of Scripture, and prayer. When my husband, Ron became a Messianic missionary with Chosen People Ministries, I joined the staff and spent years coordinating missionary calendars. During that time, I found myself crying out to God asking him to give me something to do for the Kingdom that no one had done. His answer blessed me. It has been my great pleasure to research the history of the Sephardic Jews who were baptized into the Catholic faith during the Inquisition. From that research and my desire to use Scripture to heal wounds as I have done with my LAMB ladies, the Casa Saga was birthed. The books of the Casa Saga are unlike other Messianic or Christian fiction because you can read them for enjoyment, and use them as witnessing tools. The odd number books set up worldly situations, and the even number books have detailed salvation stories.
Since I began my writing journey with Messiah, I have realized that for me writing is like breathing, and I am already researching two more series. When not speaking, teaching, or involved in ministry with my husband, Ron, I can be found meeting with friends, or worshiping at my Messianic Congregation Ben David in Santa Ana, California.
When asked why I write, I say, “For this dyslectic artist, passionate writer, and follower to Messiah be used of him is my hearts desire! Yes dreams really do come true!”
