We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. No matter how hard we try to be moral, holy, right, just and true, our sinful nature has gotten control of us. And while we deserve judgment, God has given us, through the holy sacrifice of His only begotten Son, a way out.
In fact, it’s more than a way out, it’s a direct connection to go before the Father and receive adoption into His kingdom as sons and daughters! There has never been such an amazing deal in the history of mankind. It is truly God’s kindness that we have been called to share in this great salvation.
Yes, it requires we give up everything, but that is what we call ‘small potatoes’ where I’m from, compared to the eternal glory we will have with Christ!
Right now, it may look like we see evil all around us. Often it seems our society grows colder and more immoral by the hour. But understand this: It was God’s kindness that brought you salvation, and it is in God’s kindness that He is withholding judgment so that more people can receive salvation through His Son.
So don’t despair! God is not yet done bringing people out of darkness and into His marvelous light. And He is calling you as a believer to extend kindness to the world so that they may know Him.
