TAKEOFF,
Trump Threatens FEMA,
President Donald Trump visited areas affected by natural disasters in California and North Carolina on Friday, suggesting that an overhaul of FEMA may be necessary to improve federal disaster relief efforts.
Speaking to reporters in North Carolina, Trump criticized FEMA, calling the agency “not good” and vowing to draft an executive order to reform or dissolve FEMA altogether.
Trump praised the disaster recovery models of the governors in North Carolina and Florida, emphasizing state-led responses over reliance on external aid. He added that aid should go through the government, not a middleman like FEMA.
The president also listed changes he would like to see in California, stating the Golden State should implement voter ID laws and adopt less restrictive water regulations.
Target Rolls Back DEI Programs,
Target announced on Friday that it’s reversing its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies, becoming the latest corporation to take such action following President Trump’s election.
In a memo sent to employees, Target announced it will discontinue its DEI goals, stop reporting to external diversity organizations, and cancel a program aimed at increasing products from black- or minority-owned businesses.
Officials stated that the changes were based on years of data, insights, listening, and learning, which will align the retailer with consumer demands today and in the future.
Target has joined Ford, Amazon, Walmart, and Harley-Davidson, along with other prominent companies, that have scaled back or abandoned their DEI initiatives that gained popularity following the death of George Floyd in 2020.
NFL Championship Sunday Preview,
The AFC and NFC championship games are on Sunday, featuring the Washington Commanders against the Philadelphia Eagles in the early game, followed by the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Buffalo Bills.
The Eagles enter Sunday’s game with their star quarterback Jalen Hurts nursing an injured left knee suffered in last week’s playoff victory against the Los Angeles Rams. Hurts is expected to play while wearing a brace.
The Bills could be without two starting defensive players against the Chiefs. Starting safety Taylor Rapp is out with an injury, and defensive back Christian Benford didn’t practice on Friday after being limited the previous two days.
The winners from Sunday will face each other at Super Bowl 59, which will take place on Sunday, Feb. 9, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, home of the New Orleans Saints.
POLITICS,
Secretary of State Marco Rubio has halted passport applications with “X” as the gender identifier, aligning with a new Trump administration executive order recognizing only male or female genders.
The Justice Department requested Friday that the Supreme Court pause four cases involving the environment and student debt as the Trump administration reviews the regulatory decisions.
The White House revoked security protection for Dr. Anthony Fauci Thursday, with President Trump stating government-funded protection wasn’t indefinite and that Fauci could afford his own detail.
The World Health Organization announced in an internal email that it plans to freeze recruitment and cut travel budgets after the U.S. withdrawal, its largest funder.

And Now, A word From one of Our Sponsors,
Promote your book/ebook on twitter and anything digital. For example, Christian Apps. I can hear all the naysayers say that twitter is a cesspool and you can’t sell anything on twitter. I have been on twitter since August 2012. I am an author and I can tell you this is false. I have sold many, many books that I can track back to twitter. I have 14 thousand 300 Plus followers on twitter and it all depends on who you follow. My followers are about half political and half writers, authors and readers. Now there are some writers, and especially christian writers say that they don’t feel right selling their books. You mean to tell me that God led you to write the book and all that goes into it and not mean for you to not tell people about it? I just don’t buy it.
I will send your messages either manually or scheduled. Will gain followers daily which could turn into customers. I will boost your traffic and business. I will do my research in order to understand your niche and I will make sure I can help you boost your business.
For more information or to schedule one of these plans send email to Russell Sherrard at russellsherrard@reagan.com

Go to https:// payhip.com/ Christian NonFiction eBookStore then scroll down and click on Interactive Romans Road – King James Version.
Long Ago, when the Roman Empire was at the height of its glory, a common saying was “All Roads Lead to Rome.” I want to tell you about a very special road — a road that existed then and still exists now. This road, now almost 2,000 years old, has never led to Rome. Yet, strangely enough, it is called the Romans Road.
This takes the reader to selected passages in the Book of Romans in the Bible to explain the plan of Salvation. This is the ideal way to share the gospel using your Kindle. The reader can also read the entire book of Romans un-interrupted.
