The lives of baby-boomers are made up of Kodak moments. Wanting to remember special people or occasions, we grabbed Kodak or Polaroid cameras. Pasting developed pictures in photo albums was the final step. Kodak has gone out of business and is now only a faded memory. Many of the younger set have never even used a hand held camera. Cell phones have taken their place.

What would Mom think?

She took pictures and lots of them. She used a Kodak Brownie camera for the earliest I can remember. She had worked at a Syracuse photography studio before marrying Dad and knew the tricks of the trade. Mom carefully chose proper lighting; interesting backgrounds and creative posing. (Siblings still remember that posing!) All 5 of Mom’s babies grew to adulthood with the swift passing of the years. She always cherished pictures of them and her grandchildren.

With her professional background, Mom often had portraits taken of her and Dad. I believe it was her way of saying, remember me…

Jesus used imagery to paint a priceless portrait.

Are we remembering Him?

“And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:

For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.

And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you (Luke 22:15-20 KJV).”
