Friday, September 6, 2024,

Good Morning! On this day in 2012, NASA’s Curiosity rover successfully landed on the Martian surface, exploring the Gale Crater and seeking evidence of past microbial life.

Today’s edition of The Flyover has several items featuring sons and daughters. Our favorite is the one about a father who gave his son a $1 million lottery ticket, moving him out of the basement.

We hope you enjoyed reading today’s Flyover. Let us know how we’re doing by replying to Russell Sherrard at russellsherrard@reagan.com.

TAKEOFF,

Hunter Biden Pleads Guilty,

In a surprise move, Hunter Biden pleaded guilty Thursday to all nine charges in the federal tax case against him, with sentencing set for December 16.

Biden initially offered an Alford plea, in which a defendant pleads guilty because the evidence against them is strong but maintains that they’re innocent.

When prosecutors refused to accept that plea, Biden made an open plea, admitting guilt and leaving the sentencing decision to the judge without a recommendation from prosecutors.

According to a 56-page indictment, Biden stood accused of withholding at least $1.4 million in taxes over four years and filing false returns.

Adams says he’s unaware of any wrongdoing and pledged full cooperation. A city hall lawyer said the mayor and his staff haven’t been indicated as targets of the investigation.

Before we go let me tell you about one of the books found on my Bookstore,

Go to https:// payhip.com/ Christian NonFiction eBookStore then scroll down and click on Interactive Romans Road American Standard Version

Long Ago, when the Roman Empire was at the height of its glory, a common saying was “All Roads Lead to Rome.” I want to tell you about a very special road — a road that existed then and still exists now. This road, now almost 2,000 years old, has never led to Rome. Yet, strangely enough, it is called the Romans Road.

This takes the reader to selected passages in the Book of Romans in the Bible to explain the plan of Salvation. This is the ideal way to share the gospel using your Kindle. The reader can also read the entire book of Romans un-interrupted.
