Good Morning! On this day in 1776, Continental Army captain Nathan Hale was executed by British troops in New York City for spying. Hale is purported to have said, “I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country.”
Yesterday, millions watched the memorial service for Charlie Kirk. Reactions worldwide have been stirring, and we were especially moved by his wife Erika’s eulogy, including her public forgiveness of Charlie’s killer.
We hope you enjoyed reading today’s Flyover. Let us know how we’re doing by replying to Russell Sherrard at russellsherrard@reagan.com.

TAKEOFF.
200K Gather to Honor Charlie Kirk.
More than 200,000 people packed State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday for a five-hour memorial honoring Christian conservative activist Charlie Kirk, 31, who was assassinated Sept. 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University.
Kirk’s widow, Erika, delivered a powerful tribute to her late husband, praising his courage in the face of opposition, devotion to his wife and children, and, most of all, his faith in Christ. “He wanted to save young men—just like the one who took his life,” Erika said before looking up in silent prayer, gathering her strength, then saying of her husband’s killer, “I forgive him.”
President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and others spoke from behind bullet-proof glass, and security measures included drone surveillance, airport-style screenings, and a heavy presence from Secret Service, DHS, and local police.
Nearly seven million people tuned in on Charlie Kirk’s YouTube channel alone, and major networks worldwide carried the event.
Trump Names Murdochs, Ellison in TikTok Deal.
Rupert Murdoch, Lachlan Murdoch, Oracle’s Larry Ellison, and Dell CEO Michael Dell are among the investors President Trump says are set to take over TikTok in the U.S.
The White House says six of seven board seats will go to Americans, Oracle will oversee data and privacy, and the U.S. will control the app’s algorithm.
Trump announced the deal on Friday after a call with Chinese President Xi Jinping, noting that only final signatures remain.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said she is “100% confident” the agreement is done.
US Leads Global Nuclear Renaissance.
Nuclear energy is surging back into the spotlight, with Bank of America projecting a $10 trillion global market by 2050 as demand from AI data centers and electrification soars.
The U.S. leads the world in nuclear generation, producing nearly 30% of global output in 2024 despite relying on aging reactors. See a chart here.
To meet future needs, the industry is turning to small modular reactors (SMRs), which are cheaper and faster to build and are gaining investor momentum.
Over 60 new reactors have come online in the past decade, with 70 more under construction worldwide. As energy demand climbs, nuclear is being viewed as a key player in the push for reliable, low-carbon power.
