DOJ Reveals Trump Assassination Plot,

The Justice Department unsealed an indictment on Friday, revealing an alleged Iranian plot to assassinate President-elect Trump during his campaign this fall.

U.S. authorities believe Iranian Farhad Shakeri was involved in a murder-for-hire plot, allegedly telling FBI agents that an official in Iran’s Revolutionary Guard in September tasked him with an official plan to surveil and kill Trump.

Shakeri was also linked to Carlisle Rivera of Brooklyn and Jonathon Loadholt of Staten Island in a conspiracy to murder a U.S. citizen of Iranian origin in New York. Rivera and Loadholt were arrested and made their initial appearance in court.

According to U.S. officials, Shakeri has not been arrested and is believed to be in Iran.

Market Rallies Behind Trump,

U.S. stocks maintained their post-election rally on Friday, achieving record highs with the Dow and S&P 500 posting their best weekly performance of the year.

The Dow rose 259.65 points, or 0.59%, while the S&P gained 0.38% to close at 5,995.54, briefly trading above 6,000; the Nasdaq jumped 0.09%, setting an intraday record high.

Experts attribute the recent rally to President-elect Trump’s victory, with expectations that a Republican-controlled government will favor deregulation, mergers and acquisitions, and tax cuts.

Trump’s reelection also boosted Elon Musk, with Tesla’s stock rising nearly 26% since Election Day, pushing the company’s market cap over $1 trillion.

List: America’s Most Obscure Museums,

A list of America’s most obscure museums features a quirky and eccentric mix from espionage-themed exhibits to houses of ill-repute and roadside spots celebrating the food that made this country great.

Washington D.C.’s International Spy Museum houses the world’s largest collection of spy artifacts, including gadgets, weapons, cameras, and vehicles, along with iconic cars used in the James Bond films.

The Oasis Bordello Museum in Idaho, one of two brothels on the list, preserved its silver mining-era history right up until the last madame, Madame Ginger, and her workers fled in 1988 before an FBI raid.

Sites dedicated to Spam, mustard, and potatoes make the list, but the best food-related stop is the Waffle House Museum in Georgia. On the site of the first-ever Waffle House, which opened in 1955, it explains why the chain is considered a southern staple.

A judge paused proceedings in the criminal election interference case against President-elect Trump on Friday, following a request from special counsel Jack Smith to reassess the situation after Trump’s election victory.

The White House reiterated on Thursday that President Biden has no plans to pardon or commute a potential prison sentence for his son, Hunter Biden, who is guilty of several felony charges.

A federal judge ruled against a Biden administration program that permitted unauthorized immigrants married to U.S. citizens to obtain legal status, determining it violated immigration law.
