Good Morning! On this day in 1779, the U.S. ship Bonhomme Richard, commanded by John Paul Jones, looked defeated against two British ships, but when Jones was asked to surrender, he replied: “I have not yet begun to fight,” and went on to win the battle.

TAKEOFF.
Trump Ties Tylenol to Autism Increase.
President Trump said Monday the FDA will add new warning labels to Tylenol, citing research linking acetaminophen use during pregnancy to autism.
He told reporters that pregnant women should avoid the drug unless treating a high-risk fever, and that doctors will be formally notified of the new guidance.
The White House pointed to studies from Johns Hopkins, Yale, and Harvard showing associations between prenatal acetaminophen and neurodevelopmental issues.
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists maintains there’s no clear evidence linking the proper use of Tylenol to developmental issues.
The administration also announced it will begin the approval process for leucovorin, a cancer drug that has shown early promise for easing autism symptoms.
Kimmel Returns to ABC Without Apology.
Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel will return to ABC tonight after a weeklong suspension over remarks about Charlie Kirk’s killing, but news reports say he doesn’t plan to apologize.
The late-night host, who earns about $15 million annually, negotiated his comeback directly with Disney CEO Bob Iger and Entertainment Co-Chair Dana Walden, according to reports. He will reportedly address the controversy in Tuesday’s monologue, but stop short of an apology.
On his Sept. 15 broadcast, Kimmel offended many viewers by saying, “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and with everything they can to score political points from it.” Authorities have disputed that, saying the accused shooter had left-wing views.
Kimmel’s return will be pre-empted by at least one large TV station group. Sinclair Broadcast Group, the largest owner of ABC stations, with 38 across the country, including WJLA, the ABC affiliate that serves the Washington D.C. metro area, has said it will run other programming.
Trump to Meet Arab Leaders at UN.
President Trump is scheduled to meet a group of Arab and Muslim leaders on Tuesday in New York during the United Nations General Assembly meeting to discuss efforts to end the war in Gaza.
The meeting comes as Hamas prepares to send a letter to Trump proposing a 60-day ceasefire in exchange for the release of half of the hostages held in Gaza, according to reports. The letter is expected to be delivered this week.
The U.S. State Department denied visas to Palestinian leaders, including Mahmoud Abbas, effectively blocking them from attending the General Assembly in New York, citing national security concerns.
President Donald Trump will speak at the United Nations General Assembly today. His address follows a decision by several U.S. allies, including France, the U.K., Canada, and Australia, to formally recognize a Palestinian state, joining 142 of 193 UN member nations in supporting a two-state solution.
