“I pray that you will enjoy the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.” – 2 Corinthians 13:13 ERV
Devotion
“Oh my God, please help me. I’m very sad, I dream to be in Armenia. I so want to be in our church, and together with my Christian brothers and sisters to worship You, and hear sermons. I don’t know how it would be possible, but please help me.”
This was Ani’s prayer from deep in her heart in March of this year.
Ani got married six years ago and she has two daughters. They live in Moscow, Russia, because her husband works there. The coronavirus pandemic canceled her dream of returning to live in Armenia. But we know that our God is Almighty, He hears our prayers. Yet, often what we imagine or think is not God’s way. Sometimes God gives answers that are different from our expectations.
Ten days after her prayers, Ani got a request to join a Facebook group. She thought, “What’s this? Again, a typical join request? There is nothing good in these social websites, they just misuse my time, they are not useful.” But suddenly, she noticed that it was a group of Zoravan Evangelical Church members. She quickly accepted the request and saw that it was an online worship service from her church in Armenia. People very dear to her were worshipping, praising the Lord, then there was a sermon from her beloved pastor. Suddenly, the Holy Spirit reminded Ani about her prayers and she realized that this was the answer! She thanked the Lord with tears. The Lord’s grace can come even through modern means.
It was many years ago when Ani first visited Zoravan Church with her mother. She experienced God’s grace while at a teen camp, and it was there where Ani accepted Jesus as her Savior and Lord. She got salvation through God’s grace. As it is written in the book of Ephesians, “You have been saved by grace because you believed. You did not save yourselves; it was a gift from God. You are not saved by the things you have done, so there is nothing to boast about” (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Not long after that, Ani became a Project Philip Bible study leader in her area. When she was 16, she was baptized. And she became actively involved in children’s ministry. She had many dreams of serving the Lord, but marriage changed so many things. She moved to Russia because they had no choice. She felt lucky because her situation was different from so many Armenian women. So many husbands left their families to go to Russia for work, and many of them did not come back.
After so many years, it was really God’s grace and mercy that she had an opportunity to be present in her church online. Ani was so thankful to the Lord that through online services she could hear the Word of God and be comforted and encouraged. “Now I have peace and I do not feel alone. I can participate in our church services from a distance,” she says.
This is God’s Grace.

Long Ago, when the Roman Empire was at the height of its glory, a common saying was “All Roads Lead to Rome.” I want to tell you about a very special road — a road that existed then and still exists now. This road, now almost 2,000 years old, has never led to Rome. Yet, strangely enough, it is called the Romans Road.
This takes the reader to selected passages in the Book of Romans in the Bible to explain the plan of Salvation. This is the ideal way to share the gospel using your Kindle. The reader can also read the entire book of Romans un-interrupted.
