Our interview today is with Julia Carrington. Thank you for being here today Julia and for agreeing to do this interview.

Question: What do you think prepared you or qualifies you to write in your chosen genre?

Answer: I am Julia Audrina Carrington, a Christian author and am part of this interview. Thank you for joining me. God created me and He is the One Who gives us our talents. He gave me the gift of writing when I was a child. I was published in a school poetry paper in grade four, in our local newspaper in grade five and the writing took off from there with writing many poems over my teen years, along with going to get professional training for writing at a Christian institution. I have since been published by the university and other publications. I have an educational background in Biblical studies, Christian psychology, Christian counselling, medicine, foreign languages, public speaking, missions, business, teaching, translation, journalism, English, writing and editing. Also, I have lived a full life with many experiences and gained wisdom as I have walked with God, having served in many Christian ministries abroad. These things are what qualify me to write Christian books and Christian non fiction books. There are many books which can be seen on www.amazon.com by typing my name Julia Carrington in the search box on www.amazon.com.

Question: Tell us a little about your “real” (Non-writing) life — family, job, church life. Does it give you inspiration for your writing? Does it get in the way of your writing, or are there times when you get help, from people or circumstances?

Answer: I grew up in a church that taught me to love God. But then I had bad church experiences where I was abused by the church leaders and church people when I was serious about loving God and fulfilling His plan for me as a missionary and now a writer who uses the money from the books to support orphans around the world. Therefore many of my books deal with those experiences so that I may help others who were abused in the church in various ways.

My job is my writing. But my ministry is called, Mission Friends for Christ. There is not much on the web about it as it is kept private because I am often severely persecuted as I write my books and as I work in a world-wide ministry having served God on behalf of more than one hundred nations of the world. Also, I do not accept any donations in my ministry: all my ministry is funded by my own hard work of writing books.

Question: Tell us about things you enjoy — what you do for fun or personal satisfaction?

Answer: I spend time with my mom, my sister, my nieces and nephews, my mom’s dog and cat and my cat Charlie.

Question: Have you done anything writing-related, but besides your books, that seemed to get a lot of positive response? Something that encouraged you?

Answer: I have translated materials into other languages to share the gospel of the Lord Jesus with others. I have written some books in a foreign language as well. Some of the materials that I translated were for the orphan children and they loved the stories.

Question: Tell us about your newest book. Make us want to read it.

Answer: One of my newest books is called, From Lust to Love. It is a fictional story that tells of a girl who is of Cambodian decent but who has trouble surviving in a white society as she grew up in Scotland and who gets into trouble with men, but who eventually finds love and satisfaction in Jesus Christ, realizing true love comes from Him, not giving her body to many men. That book will be available on amazon.com before the new year.
