crossProv. 24:12 Don’t try to avoid responsibility by saying you didn’t know about it. For God knows all hearts, and he sees you. He keeps watch over your soul, and he knows you knew! And he will judge all people according to what they have done.

Ignorance is no excuse. We cannot avoid being held responsible for obeying God because we may not know all there is to know. God holds us responsible for how we live by what we know. He knows the heart and why we do what we do. No one escapes His notice.

There is nothing in your heart that God does not know about. Nothing. You may not be open and honest with others about you, but you cannot hide from God. He knows not only what is in you, He knows how and why it got there. If there is something there for Him to see, it is because you have not confessed it and repented of it. He has not forgiven you and will hold you accountable for it.

You cannot fool God. He knows what you know. He knows when you disobey His revealed truth to you. He will not let you get away with it. He judges us for what we have done.

How about it? Do you have unconfessed sin in your heart? He knows about it. It is not okay with God and He will hold you responsible for your sins. You have two choices to make. You can confess your sins to Him today, or you can let God deal with you on Judgment Day. Would you rather let Him deal with you now while you can still live in Him, or do you want to wait until you no longer have a chance to repent?

You cannot take a neutral stand. By not repenting of your sins today, you are rejecting the Lord. And, all who reject the Lord face an eternity in hell. Are you prepared to face the possibility that you could die today with unconfessed sin in your heart?

Jim Hughes

Spending his formative years in Ft. Wayne, IN, Jim followed the love of his life to southeast Iowa where they married and have spent the majority of their lives. Jim has pastored several churches throughout his life and has worked many years in local factories to help support his family. The father of two married adult children and one son still at home, Jim is a first-time author.

C Through Marriage came into being through many years of pastoral and life experiences. The book first took on a life of its own over 20 years ago when I sought to address the much publicized moral failures of prominent leaders in the church. In the chapter on Chasity, I include the guideliness that I developed then to protect one’s self from such failures.

I am a firm believer in order to make sense out of life you have to use much common sense. We need to get back to the basics of what has worked for many, many generations. If is isn’t broke, why try to fix it? I strive to return to the basics of what really works in all my writings.
