TAKEOFF,

Massive Flooding Kills 158 in Spain,

Historic flash flooding in Spain devastated coastal cities this week, killing at least 158 people in one of the country’s deadliest natural disasters.

The Valencia area was the hardest hit as heavy rains on Tuesday night caused a river to overflow, sweeping away debris and cars, and leaving residents trapped by the surging tides.

Buildings, bridges, and businesses have been destroyed, suspending rail services and forcing people to leave their homes for the safety of friends, family, or emergency shelters.

As of Thursday, crews continued to search for people in stranded cars and waterlogged buildings as an unknown number of people remain missing.

Dodgers Celebration Turns Violent,

Authorities made several arrests in Los Angeles on Wednesday night after violence and looting erupted as residents celebrated the Dodgers’ eighth World Series title in franchise history.

The Los Angeles Police Department also issued a warning about a hostile crowd that allegedly surrounded a city bus and set it on fire.

Other images showed revelers throwing objects at police and running from a boarded-up Nike store with armfuls of merchandise.

At a news conference Thursday, Mayor Karen Bass said the majority of celebrations were peaceful and discussed today’s planned victory parade.

List: Most Haunted States in the U.S.,

New Mexico was named the most haunted state in the U.S. according to a new ranking of states by how scary, spooky and creepy they are.

MoveBuddha, an online relocation site, ranked all 50 states using a formula to calculate the number of haunted locations, cemeteries, unsolved murders, and ghost towns, among other factors.

But while New Mexico was listed as the most haunted state because of its ancient Indian burial grounds, New York was recognized as the state most likely to give you the creeps.

Rather not get spooked? Head for Nevada, Hawaii, or Minnesota, the three least haunted states of all.

POLITICS,

The lawsuit against Elon Musk’s $1 million voter giveaway was halted by a Pennsylvania judge Thursday, pausing the case while a federal court considers it.

Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance appeared on the popular “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast Thursday, discussing the election and the first assassination attempt on former President Trump.

A Russian court has hit Google with a symbolic fine of $20 decillion—which is 20 followed by 33 zeros—for blocking content from 17 Russian television channels and other outlets on YouTube. That’s far more than the world’s entire GDP.
