Trump Pressures Iran Over Nukes.
President Trump warned Sunday that Iran faces bombing “the likes of which they have never seen” if it refuses a new nuclear deal.
Trump’s comments came in an NBC interview that aired Sunday, taped hours before Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian rejected direct negotiations with the White House, while suggesting that indirect talks could continue.
It was Iran’s first official response to a letter that Trump sent earlier this month, in which he urged that a deal be reached over Iran’s nuclear program.
Trump added that Iran could face secondary tariffs if no deal is reached and said that U.S. and Iranian officials are “talking.”
U.S. Businesses Back Reciprocal Tariffs.
As President Trump prepares to unveil reciprocal tariffs on April 2, which he dubbed “Liberation Day,” U.S. businesses are pressing the White House to address trade imbalances with the UK, EU, Canada, and others.
JM Smucker sent a letter to the White House earlier this month citing the EU’s 24%-plus tariff on American jams—compared to a U.S. maximum of 4.5%—and saying it has restricted their exports to just $300,000 annually.
The Oregon Trawl Commission noted UK duties of 12% to 18% on cold-water shrimp, and the North American Blueberry Council pointed to levies like 20% on frozen sweetened blueberries.
Though Trump suggested last week that his tariffs might be “very lenient” and lower than expected, his final approach remains uncertain.
TV Star Richard Chamberlain Dies at 90.
Television and movie star Richard Chamberlain died Saturday in Hawaii, just two days shy of his 91st birthday.
Chamberlain was best known for his role in the TV miniseries Shogun and The Thorn Birds after rising to fame in the title role of Dr. Kildare.
After being raised in Beverly Hills and serving in the U.S. Army in Korea, Chamberlain became a 1960s heartthrob, embarking on a decades-long career that spanned television, film, theater, and music.
Chamberlain died after complications from a stroke, according to his publicist.
POLITICS.
President Trump said he was “pissed off” at Russian President Vladimir Putin for stalling ceasefire negotiations with Ukraine and threatened tariffs on Russian oil if Moscow continues adding conditions to a U.S.-backed peace deal.
The Trump administration plans to establish a seating chart for the White House briefing room, taking on the responsibility traditionally held by the reporters themselves.
A Wisconsin appeals court cleared Elon Musk to give away $2 million at a Sunday rally, rejecting the state attorney general’s effort to block the payments ahead of a crucial vote to fill a seat on the state’s Supreme Court.
The majority of Americans want President Trump to focus more on lowering prices than imposing tariffs but also support the administration’s deportation efforts, according to a new CBS poll.

The Toronto Blue Jays have placed future Hall of Fame starting pitcher Max Scherzer on the Injured List after he suffered a thumb injury in his season debut on Saturday. Scherzer will see a hand specialist to determine the best course of action.
The United Football League began play on Saturday, and former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Kalen Ballage set a UFL record with this 77-yard touchdown run, the longest in league history.
March Maddness.
All four 1-seeds have advanced to the men’s Final Four. It’s the first time since 2008, and it’s only the second time in men’s tournament history.
Auburn beat Michigan State 70-64, and they survived an injury scare to SEC Player of the Year Johni Broome. He left the second half with an elbow injury but returned to action with 5:29 remaining and is expected to play in the Final Four.
Houston held Tennessee to just 50 points in route to a 19-point win. Tennessee missed its first 14 3-pointers and trailed by 22 in the first half.
UCLA’s women’s team punched their ticket to the Final Four last night with a 72-65 win over LSU. Bruins guard Gabriela Jaquez iced the game with a late three.

Elon Musk has transferred ownership of X to his own xAI company for $33 billion in an all-stock deal.
California builder KB Home is developing a community with “wildfire-resistant” homes in Escondido, outside San Diego, in the wake of the Los Angeles wildfires earlier this year.
Hooters is launching a campaign to renew its image in an attempt to avoid bankruptcy, moving away from scantily clad waitresses toward a more family-friendly environment.

In a remote cave within Big Bend National Park, Texas, archaeologists uncovered what may be North America’s oldest intact weapon system, which dates back to 6,000 years ago.
The first attempt at an orbital flight launched from European soil ended poorly Sunday when the unmanned Spectrum rocket crashed back to Earth seconds after launch.
A metal detector hobbyist in Denmark recently discovered a 7th-century artifact, suggesting Denmark might have wielded significantly more power in England than previously believed.

Syrian interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa unveiled a new transitional government on Saturday, appointing 23 ministers to a cabinet aimed at steering the country away from decades of Assad family rule.
The European Union urged its 450 million citizens last week to stockpile three days’ worth of essential supplies, such as food, water, flashlights, ID papers, medicine, and shortwave radios, to prepare for potential crises driven by cyberattacks, weather, and disease.
