THE FLYOVER,

Sunday, AUGUST 25, 2024,

Good Morning! On this date in 1944, Paris was liberated from Nazi occupation by the Free French Second Armored Division and the American Fourth Infantry, who were greeted by miles of “cheering, deliriously happy” Parisians. (See Photos)

We hope this date in 2024 leaves you cheering and deliriously happy, too. Thanks for letting us be part of that endeavor!

We hope you enjoyed reading today’s Flyover. Let us know how we’re doing by replying to Russell Sherrard at russellsherrard@reagan.com.

TAKEOFF,

Boeing Starliner to Return Without Astronauts,

Boeing’s Starliner will be returning unmanned from the International Space Station, leaving the two astronauts it delivered into orbit at ISS until February.

NASA announced it would turn to Boeing-rival SpaceX to bring Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams home, extending their planned 8-day mission to about 8 months.

The decision to return Wilmore and Williams on a different craft was made out of concern for their safety, due to issues with Starliner’s propulsion system.

Kennedy Withdrawing from Swing State Ballots,

After suspending his bid for president and endorsing former President Trump, Robert Kennedy Jr. said he would seek to remove his name from ballots in ten battleground states where he might play the “spoiler” for Trump.

Kennedy has successfully removed himself from the Arizona and Pennsylvania ballots, but he’ll face challenges in Michigan, Nevada, and Wisconsin, at least.

As the nominee for the Natural Law Party, Kennedy can’t be removed from the Michigan ballot, according to state policies. Kennedy has also missed the deadline for withdrawing from Nevada’s ballot, and the Wisconsin Election Commission will vote this week on whether to accept Kennedy’s access filing.

List: Oldest Building in Every U.S. State,

A fascinating new list of the oldest building in every state follows the westward expansion of the nation, from 17-century stone buildings in the original colonies to 19th century log cabins west of the Mississippi.

The oldest inhabited structures actually date back to native Americans villages in the 12th century, including New Mexico’s Acoma Pueblo and the Cliff Palace in Colorado.

The oldest building from colonial times is believed to be Virginia’s Jamestown Church, built in 1639, along with Pennsylvania’s 1640 Swedish Cabin and Delaware’s Block House from 1654.

In the West, an assortment of log cabins, forts, ranches, and missions are among the oldest structures, dating from roughly 1810 through the 1850s.

Twitter and Facebook Marketing

My Name is Russell Sherrard. I am an experienced Social Media Marketer having 9 years of experience in Twitter marketing for multiple clients. The majority of my experience is with Authors and Writers as clients but will work with any legal and legitimate business.

Promote your book/ebook on twitter and anything digital. For example, Christian Apps. I can hear all the naysayers say that twitter is a cesspool and you can’t sell anything on twitter. I have been on twitter since August 2012. I am an author and I can tell you this is false. I have sold many, many books that I can track back to twitter. I have 12200+ followers on twitter and it all depends on who you follow. My followers are about half political and half writers, authors and readers. Now there are some writers, and especially christian writers say that they don’t feel right selling their books. You mean to tell me that God led you to write the book and all that goes into it and not mean for you to not tell people about it? I just don’t buy it. Check out some of my previous work:

Before we go let me tell you about one of the books found on my Bookstore,

Go to https:// payhip.com/ Christian NonFiction eBookStore then scroll down and click on One Year Bible King James Version

This is a One Year Bible of the King James Version. The reason I call it a one year Bible is because it divides the Bible into 366 portions (leap years added) so a person can start reading this Bible from the beginning and spend just 15 minutes a day and can read the entire Bible in one year. Make any KJV Bible an audio Bible. Go to https:// public domain audio bibles .com/KJV.html By downloading the audio files any KJV Bible can become an Audio Bible.
