CrossZech. 1:3 Therefore, say to the people, “This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘Return to me, and I will return to you, says the LORD Almighty.’ ”

God is so gracious and good. He never turns anyone away who comes to Him in repentance. No matter who you are or what you have done, the Lord longs for your company. He wants to have fellowship with you. If you once knew the delight of God’s fellowship and have wandered away, return to Him and He will once again take you in. If you have been sucked into the world and have let your love for God die out, He loves you still and longs for you to return to Him. If you have spurned His love and sought after other things, He still loves you and longs for your return. The Lord’s love is eternal and unconditional. No matter what you may do, you cannot prevent God from loving you and longing for fellowship with you.

If you have never known the delight of living in fellowship with the Lord, now is the moment God has given you to come to Him. It may be the only chance you have left in your life. Don’t waste it. God loves you and longs to have fellowship with you. He invites you to come into His arms of love. Seek Him out right now while you can find Him. Confess your sins before Him and ask for His forgiveness. If you don’t know how, at all cost find someone today who can help you. The Lord is gracious and good. All who return to Him will find Him.

However, a word of caution is in order. Just because God loves you unconditionally, do not think that He will take you in regardless whether you turn to Him or not. He has provided only one way for us to be taken into the fold of His love and that is through the life, death, and resurrection of His Son. If we could bypass Jesus, Jesus would have died for nothing. Life in God is reserved for those who come to Him through Jesus. And, those who turn to Jesus must do so with no strings attached. Give Him all your sins, all your heart, all your life, and you will be saved.

About the Author:

Jim Hughes

Spending his formative years in Ft. Wayne, IN, Jim followed the love of his life to southeast Iowa where they married and have spent the majority of their lives. Jim has pastored several churches throughout his life and has worked many years in local factories to help support his family. The father of two married adult children and one son still at home, Jim is a first-time author.

C Through Marriage came into being through many years of pastoral and life experiences. The book first took on a life of its own over 20 years ago when I sought to address the much publicized moral failures of prominent leaders in the church. In the chaper on Chasity, I include the guideliness that I developed then to protect one’s self from such failures.

I am a firm believer in order to make sense out of life you have to use much common sense. We need to get back to the basics of what has worked for many, many generations. If is isn’t broke, why try to fix it? I strive to return to the basics of what really works in all my writings.
